NPO法人岩手未来機構（いわてアートプロジェクト実行委員会）では、3月1日から3月13日まで、東京ミッドタウン・デザインハブ企画展として「花とともに生まれん。3.11以後、復興とアート」を開催いたします。

2021年３月11日、未曾有の東日本大震災から10年を迎えます。岩手県ではこれまで県と市町村が一体となって復興が進められてきました。10年間という時間によって哀しみが薄れてしまうことはありませんが、被災後の新しい暮らしが始まり、３.11は少しずつ歴史の一部になりつつあります。

この展示では、10年間の復興の歩みと変わりゆく被災地の姿について岩手県復興局によるパネル紹介と、被災以後、NPO岩手未来機構と深い変わりのあった国内外のアーティストたちが被災地に寄り添い表現してきた作品を展示いたします。

2021年も間もなく芽吹きと開花の季節を迎えます。新たに生まれた命の喜びと、それ以前に逝ってしまったものたちへの哀しみ。春は、命の循環という人の力ではどうすることもできない摂理のなかに人々の思いが織り込まれた季節なのかも知れません。

この展示が、被災後の10年間を静かに省みながら復興とその向こうにある悼みを伝えるものになることを願っています。

March 11, 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the unprecedented Great East Japan Earthquake.

Iwate Prefecture has worked together with local municipalities to rebuild communities.

Although the grief does not fade over the course of ten years, a new life has begun after the disaster, and 3. 11 is gradually becoming a part of history.

In this exhibition, the Iwate Prefectural Reconstruction Bureau will introduce the progress of reconstruction over the past 10 years and the changing circumstances of disaster-stricken areas on panels. Also, the works of domestic and international artists who have been deeply connected with the NPO Iwate Future Organization since the disaster will be displayed.

It will soon be sprouting and flowering season in 2021.It brings with it not only the joy of renewed life but also the sorrow as we remember those who have passed away.

Spring may be a season in which people’s thoughts are woven into the providence of the cycle of life, which humans have no control over.

Our hope that this exhibition will convey the reconstruction and condolences beyond it, while quietly reflecting on the decade after the disaster.
